Fast and Furious fans, hold your breath. Forty-seven-year-old Hollywood actor Vin Diesel just made an announcement that he wanted the next installment of the movie to be shot in New York and in some parts in the Philippines.

You got it right. During Diesel’s guesting on the show Jimmy Kimmel Live!, he expressed his eagerness to shoot the next Furious movie in the Philippines. Furious 8 is certainly going to happen then after many speculations. He further mentioned that there will be new addition to the eighth installment, which is expected to come out April of 2017.

Possible locations for the upcoming film will be in the busiest highways in the country like EDSA, Makati Central Business District, and in Bonifacio Global City.

Vin Diesel, who plays the role of Dominic Toretto in the franchise, said he fell in love with the Philippines after his visit few years ago when they had their premiere for Fast and Furious 6 in the country. His sister-in-law Grace Blanco is also a Filipino and was the one who taught him a few Filipino words during the said visit in SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Will Universal Studios go ahead and take Vin Diesel’s words? Let us cross our fingers. We wouldn’t mind being caught in the traffic for hours as long as we can see our favorite Hollywood stars on the move and ultimately see our country in the big screen all over the globe, right?
