Anne Ojales Curtis Smith, or simply Anne Curtis, is a Filipino-Australian actress, host, recording artist, VJ and performer in the Philippines. She is the eldest daughter of an Australian lawyer, James Ernest Curtis-Smith and Filipina-Spanish, Carmencita Ojales. She spent her childhood in her dad’s motherland, where she enjoyed almost everything a child normally goes through – going camping and playing outside.

Because of her Filipino roots, she usually comes and visits the Philippines with her family to see her relatives. In 1997, while eating at a fast-food chain in the Philippines, a talent scout approached her and asked if she would like to get into modeling. Her dad was quite hesitant, but her mom gave her full-support. So, Anne and her mom started to go to video tape recordings without the knowledge of her father. As such, her vacation to the country turned out to be the start of her permanent stay.

While already modeling, the young Anne bagged her first TV commercial. Since she couldn’t speak and understand Tagalog, she took special Filipino classes. After a month, she went into acting. She auditioned for a part in a movie and was luckily chosen to take the part of Princess Dahlia for the movie, Magic Kingdom.
